How does Adsense work?
So what is 'Adsense'?
If you go to Google and do a search for almost any keyword phrase, you'll notice some "Sponsored Links" that appear on the right side of the screen that are relevant to the keywords you just searched for.
These are paid ads from web site owners trying to bring targeted visitors to their web sites.
The advertisers pay Google every time their ad gets a click by a web surfer.
Now you can display these same ads on your site just like Google and get paid for it. Every time an ad is clicked from your site, you will receive a certain percentage of what Google receives from the advertiser.
Once your account reaches $100, you'll receive a check.
And of course it's good news for you because you're getting paid to simply display a few text ads for free.
What are the Advantages ?
AdSense is easy and FREE to join.
You simply paste some code into your pages.

AdSense is much simpler than joining a bunch of affiliate programs.
What are the Disadvantages ?
The main problem is inappropriate ads. (You would not want junk advertised on your site.
The statistics that Google provides are inadequate. They don't tell you which ads people are clicking on, or which keywords are involved.
The minimum payout is $100, which is regarded as too high by sites which don't receive much traffic.
Also, sites that want to display ads may not include "other content-targeted and/or text-based ads on the pages displaying AdWords ads
You may wonder why Google is giving away their money?
Since the advertiser's ads are now being displayed on more web sites all over the internet (instead of just Google's site), the advertisers are getting much more exposure.
This is good news for them because they'll get more traffic over a shorter period of time.
This is also good news for Google because the more traffic the advertisers receive, the faster the advertiser's funds are used up. It is Google's hope that they'll continue to advertise with them and keep funneling more money into their advertising account. This is a very ingenious way for Google to keep raking in the revenue.
