In any business, but especially working from home, good time management is the key.

We all tend to waste a lot of time in unnecessary jobs or issues.

The better entrepeneurs have found ways of ensuring that they use their time wisely.

You should do the same.

8 Top Tips on Time Management

1. Focus Your Efforts

Write out a list of your top ten items to do each day. This is a great way of managing your time more effectively.

2. Prioritise Your List

There is only 1 number one task. Do it today.

Do Not procrastinate.

It will not go away.

You will feel great once you have tackled and completed the first task on your list.

3. Create a Low Priority List

This is for the 100 other things that you have to do.

A good idea is to identify in yourself, when you have a low peak time. This is usually after lunch break, mid afternoon time.

Tackle a few of these minor tasks then.

4. Use Your Diary

Utilise your diary, to plan a better day. Throw out those scraps of paper. Time management is all about control of your time, and what better way than a diary.

5. Set Realistic Time Frames

It is much better to set realistic time frames for each task, so that you plan your time much better.

6. Set Objectives

'Write 5 confirmation letters' is an objective. 'Write letters' is just a vague notion!

7. Plan The Day Before

Plan the day before, means that when you wake up, you are ready to go!

8. Incorporate Some Personal Time.

This is a most important step. Ensure that you allow time for the family, and yourself. This ensures good health, less stress, and most importantly, makes you feel refreshed, ready for the next task.
